Self mutalation?

ok I'm getting a piercing gun (shhh, it's a secret.)
and I think I'm going to get a peircing addiction or something.
my mom says I can have as many peircings on my ears as I want
and I can have as many anywhere as long as my cloths can cover it.
woo-hoo. but I'm worried its going to become a habit and I'll
go peirce crazy. would that be considered self mutalation??
as weird as this sounds small things like shots or getting pinched
hurts pretty bad, but things like getting bit hard enough to draw blood
or peircing things dont hurt and sometimes feel good... wow I sound
like a freak... hahahaha I'm just worried.

dude if you're going to pierce yourself don't use a gun.. professionals don't use them anymore and they're dangerous.. just buy a pack of 20 piercing needles they're like 4 dollars. they're easy to use, a lot safer, take less time to heal and hurt less. my friend has like 64789379 ear piercings which were all done with piercing needles.. but last year she got another ear piercing, this time with a gun and the back of her ear where the hole is is all deformed and she said it's still sore.. moral of the story: needles>guns.

and yes, if you start piercing yourself claiming it "feels good" it would be considered self-mutilation even though it's not a very extreme form of it..

hey if you like getting peircings and you like the peircings you get then go right ahead, its not self mutilation its a way of expressing yourself, and don't let anyone give you any S*** about it!!!

If you are worried about it and anticipating addiction already, it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

if you must pierce youraself dont do anything other than the ears
and dont get a gun
the gun needs tobe banned
"piercers" who use it are unprofesional and untrained
there not qualifyed and they have no idea what there doing
they practice on fruit
and the gun is full of germs from other peoples blood
the gun isnt safe to use because it cant be cleaned properly
and itsre-used
which is very unhigenic and dangerouse
use needles
but only do your ears if you must
anything else is dangerosue
and just asking for crookedness, infection, longer healing time and damage to the body pary, nerves or muscle

I agree you can ONLY pierce your ears with a gun...

EVERYTHING ELSE should be done with a needle! and that should only be done when you have been TRAINED!!

anyone can use a piercing gun - have you seen the size of the studs??? they're tiny!! you can't get them through certain parts of the body...

tsk tsk - you are gunna hurt yourself if you try and pierce anyting but your ears with that thing! honestly!

dont get a gun ,most peircings that get infected are usually done via a gun system, needles are a once only method so far safer...lol as far as addiction yer I started with one and just kept at it but then im a crazy old coot lol,,,but id prefer the younger gen to get holes rather then ink as they at least can be removed easily oh sorry havent got every thing set up just a newie here ,and no I dont think its self mutilation at all when you chop your ear off that would be...and make it hard to hear the others offering advice bye

Piercings are NOT a form of self mutalation. It's more self expression. Self mutalation *also called self harm* is when you cut/burn/hurt yourself. Self expression is when you get stuff like piercings tattoos and stuff. See? Big difference =]
