Um... I wouldnt tell them, they may not allow you to talk to him anymore... I'd just keep it on the down low.

I would tell them. I've always been honest with my parents, and they appreciate that more than finding out secrets elsewhere. You'll build trust with them, and even though they may not approve, it's YOUR life.

If you start keeping secrets from your parents at a young age, it could cause tension in the future at a time when you really need their support and guidance.

Hmm. My girlfriend's parents do not like me because they are racist. They told me to my face, and told me I was not allowed to date her. So we date in private.

I doubt your situation is like mine, but there are sometimes reasons to not tell your parents everything, if you deem them that important. For me, my girlfriend means that much to me. At the age you are, I know it seems like he's the greatest in the world, and you really want to be with him, but what will your going out involve?

Making out? Going to the mall? Is it worth your parents not trusting you? To some, it is. If it is, just remember it is a decision you made, so don't regret. Regret is a horrible feeling, if you had a reason then just stick by that reason instead of regretting, or "what-if?"-ing. Life is about learning from your mistakes and others. The decision is yours, just remember there are consequences on both ends.
