It would help to know the circumstances... and to know where you've looked so far.

My parents divorced when I was six. I last saw my mother when I was eight. Visitation was allowed by the courts but our father was transferred, and my mother's current husband was also transferred. My father and her current husband were both military at the time. My father left the military since, and we now live in Maine. My mother, last I knew is now living somewhere in Florida. Unfortunately, that is all the search engines will give me without a credit card, and I don't have one, and wont get one. I don't want to release that kind of info on the internet anyway. Is there any records that you can find, without the use of a credit card?

One of the hardest things when looking for people is that women are usually under their husbands names. I don't know of any search programs you can use without a credit card either, I would have thought paypal... Can you possiblly get someone else to use their card and you just pay them? Do you know your mom's new last name?

Now here's another idea... I wonder if you could contact a government (military, department of defence, whatever it's called in the US?) and ask about your stepfather's whereabouts? How much info do you have on him? Is your dad able/willing to help?

My dad very rarely talks about her. He is still in love with her so it's a painful subject
