What is it when you can imagine yourself leaving the universe and going to space in such a natural way. Its so weird you know. I often think naturally about leaving the earth and going to space on my own then returning.

Seems like to me that you have an interest in the phenomina of outer space.

Go to a library and do some kind of research

I know you've put this in the science section, but your question really reminds me of what's known as Astral Travel - a mind exercise that allows you to 'transcend' away from your physical self, for want of a better term wink
However, there's nothing wrong with just having a healthy imagination - let yourself go!
Incidentally, I reckon you might enjoy Olaf Stapledon's 'Starmaker' - that's a book about a man who's mind leaves his body and wanders off to explore the dephs of space...
