School dance

Its my freshman year in highschool
And so far I've only gone to middleschool dances[informal]
We always went in sweats/jeans and a t-shirt
But in highschool we only have formals and semi-formals

Homecomeing is a semi-formal

That means some type of dress and dress shoes

I was thinking about a shorter dress with some heels buts that as far as I got what should I do for hair, make-up nails, jewlery, dress, ect.

Any tips would be great

A cute up-do, but nothing that requires a hairdresser - it should be a simple look
Put on some nice make-up for evening wear, and tone down the jewellry - some dainty earings and a simple necklace should do

Basically, keep it simple, but refined

I really prefer wearing my hair down..and I usualy do it straight or myabe wavy...so should I do curls for the dance?? also...

should I wear like nautral colors like white/black/offwhite...

brighter colors red/blue/pink..

light colors like pastels or whites

or dark colors like black..grey...dark red..emrald green
[for my dress]

I tend ot have a punk/scene style dose anyone know how I can help tie this in while still dressing semi-formal?

hmm curls maybe lipgloss and eyeliner just work the eyes lol ok so if semi formal iis a dress whats formal lol in england you have one dance which is the yr 11 ball when you finish highschool

for semi-formals we wear shorter more comfortable flowey dresses

formals are where everyone weras the more glittery, floor length, like $300 dresses lol
