How can i get people at school to see me for me?

This may sound kind of stupid but all the preps and jocks hate me just b/c I'm different and I know that's normal w/ preps but they only take one glance at me and just look down on me like I'm nothing. They tell their friends to look down on me and their...

friends tell their friends and its all one big mess. I need help to get people to see me for me and not just some castaway.

It can be kind of hard to do, but just ignore them. If they don't like who you are, then just keep being yourself and you'll find friends who have the same interests or are just as different as you are from the preps. It was pretty much the same for me last year, but it gets better with time (usually). Just focus on things you like to do, and you'll managed to establish a good group of friends. Good luck!

Just be yourself, forget about what they think. They are only doing that to divert other peoples attention from them and their inadequacies. Hold on to the friends you have now and be yourself with them all the other people are just that....jocks and jackasses

Even though it seems important now you will find that high school popularity doesn't really count for much.

I was a social pariah in high school; even most of the unpopular kids wouldn't hang out with me. I was bookish, socially awkward, and bad at team sports (though I had some success with discus).

In college things got better, instead of everyone thinking I was weird in college some thought I was interesting. When I looked up some of the most popular HS kids a lot of them had lousy jobs, were on their 3rd divorce, were in poor health, etc. It was like they peaked too early and it was all downhill after high school. I on the other hand was a late bloomer and my life kicked into gear while they were on their downward spiral.

Just be yourself; being anyone else is just an act. It is better to be disliked for what you are than liked for what your not.

There was a really good TV show called Freaks and Geeks. Sadly it was only on 1 season. It is available on DVD and Netflix has it so watch it if you can. I really enjoyed this show and related to several of the characters.

it is not stupid b/c i have the same problem they act like that b/c they think they own everything and they dont so just ignor them b/c thec dont have any more than you

you can try to change the way you are but only if you want to but if you dont just find people like you who have the same problem and you can form your own little click

dont even waste your time thinking about it..if those people dont see you for you, then, thats their loss. i mean, why dwell on pleasing everybody when u can just be carefree??
