Scars

Shark Atack Asked by funadvice 6 months ago, 5 answers.

So, almost 3 years ago I've accidentally cut myself in an window glass. The scars (I've got 2, almost parallel) aren't big, let's say they are like 2 cm long, but the skin over there started to look kind of weird. Do you have any tips to get rid of them?...

(beside laser and cover'em with foundation).
Thanks

Ultraviolet light - in the form of direct sunlight.

I have a genetic tendency to get keloids (abnormal scar-tissue build-up) and have found that direct su light helps to shrink them - in my case anyway!

susila is right, but be careful you shouldn't go out and get BURNED, that can actually worsen your skin, but tanning gradually should help you with your problem - remember to wear an spf of at least 15.

Also have you tried bio oil - it won't reduce the build up or scar tissue, but continiously using it will make the scars become lighter.

I used bio oil on my scrs on my legs and they were pretty bad. its really good but you have to use it every day for around 2 - 3 months before they fade but it does work. you can buy it at any chemist at about £7.
Hope this helps =)
