Wrist scars can be covered by long sleeves, bracelets, or watches.
In summer, wear long-sleeved shirts of light material (silk, gauzy cotton, and the like).
Another summer idea is to wear a long-sleeved shirt open over a tank top or t-shirt. If anyone questions it, you can tell them you're worried about sun exposure.
Some leg scars in women can be hidden by pantyhose or tights.
Concealer makeup (like Dermablend) can be used to hide some scars.

Silicon sheets and pads:
Rejuveness (walgreens)
Syprex
Clinicel (a cushion)
Cicacare (Walgreens)
ReTouch
ScarFX
ScarEase
Mepiform

Syprex makes a cream, a gel, a wipe.
Scar Guard
Scar Therapy

well first off, congratulations for recovering from cutting!
now...there are a few creams that can help to minimse scarring, the wont completely get rid of them but they will help. theres quite a few though so head down to a pharmacy or similar place and ask the people who work there if they have any, and were they are.
also which one works best, ect.
you can also wear things like sweat bands of large bracelets in the meantime...maybe arm-warmers even...or gloves with the long arms...
well, I hope that helped a bit :]

Try using PALMERS COCOA BUTTER. I cut for 8 years and stopped about two years ago. I have scars on my thighs that were pretty severe, but using cocoa butter on a daily basis, multiple times a day helped to smooth the skin out. It will not get rid of them completely though, so I would not get my hopes up about that. As for the scar creams, I never tried them, but it could be worth a try.

With summer coming I'd doubt very much you want to be wearing long sleeves or anything like that, so if you're going to try a cream to smooth your scars, you may want to get a jump on it ASAP. Just remember to make it part of your daily routine, otherwise you won't see any results!

Good luck!

You should exfoliate the scars (like a loofah and exfoliating soap), moisturize them well (cocoa butter, vaseline, vitamin e oil etc), and use a silicon-based scar cream (which works best, trust me). You can also go to a doctor for a prescription scar cream, and if you can afford, pay for laser treatments. Make sure you use sun block on your scars also, or they will heal VERY s l o w l y. Btw, your scars are kinda a part of your past and it may pay off to stop being ashamed of them. Some very famous people (Johnny Depp being one) have self-injury scars and don't care who sees them, because they realize that their pain is as much a part of their life as any other apsect. So, um, good luck I guess. Have a nice life ^_^, best wishes. You are you, don't be afraid of what others think, you know?
