Scared about going to london

im 16, and im going to london today with my mum, step dad and brother, we're getting off at london waterloo station, but I am absolutley terrified! I cant sleep or nefing and I've gotta be up in 3 hours time! all the killings that have happened there I...

am so scared its unreal, my boyf and mum are like it doesnt happen where we're going and that, but I looked it up and some 15 year old girl got stabbed in the back and neck just getting of the train with her boyfriend, should I be scared? my step dad or mum aint guna cancell it but I really really do not want too go, I did before I saw all the killings that has happened, any advice on should I go or not?

I did a bit of googling searching and apparenly 170 people are murdered in london per year on average. About one every two days. The population is about 8 million. Considering all those people the likelihood of it being you is very small. You have to take into consideration that the great majority of those murdered will be involved in drugs or come from very violent areas. It's overhyped by the media, I wouldn't worry so much about it. They like to drammatise these things in order to sell more papers and to get more people watching. You're actually far more likely to die in a car accident in the UK than to be murdered (3000 road traffic deaths per year). I hope that wont scare you about going in a car now or being a pedestrian
