Saying i love you

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 2 year and he only said I love you once never again. And if I say I love you to him he doesn't say it back. what does that mean?

Maybe he wants to keep it special. You'll never get back the magic of the first time you say it and it just loses meaning from there. If he's a sensitive guy maybe he wants to keep the meaning as much as possible. My only regret with my girlfriend is that the love word doesn't mean the same anymore. I still love her the same but somehow it doesn't mean as much when we say it because it has become routine.

What I'm saying is, If he's a nice guy and is in touch with his feelings then it might just be a preservation thing rather than him not loving you.

Maybe you shouldnt be with him,If you show you're affection torward him and he doesnt show it back,He might not be the right 1 for you.

It may mean he is scared. If you have been together that long you should be comfortable enough to discuss that issue, talk to him about it and see whats up.
