What does salt spray do for your hair?

I was reading some stuff about wavey hair and I was wondering does anybody know what salt spray does for your hair? I like waves.

uh..yeah that doesnt really help.

it makes it wavy. it's what they call 'beach waves,' because if you haven't noticed, after you take a dip in the ocean at the beach, the sea salt makes your hair nice and wavy. they sell sea salt spray products at any drugstore, they work really well.

I've never been in the ocean. so no. I havent noticed. but thank you for the answer. what would it do on straight hair??

I don't think it does much curling to naturally straight hair, but it will definitely give it some body. I think if you sprayed some sea salt to damp hair and then crunched it a little as you would do with gel or moose it might give you waves.
