No, your body isn't getting the amount of calories it needs. You should get at least 2000 calories a day and 30 minutes of exercise at least two to three times a week.
Also, don't eat just healthy, bland food. Eat comfort foods like chocolate! Just remember not to over do it! As long as you eat it in moderation, it's fine!
I disagree, most people need over 2000 calories just to survive. Those calories are used to help you breath, blood flow and other things. Besides the metabolism will not allow you to lose to much eventually it will begin to slow down and then when you start to eat reguarly you'll gain all the weight back and more so I dont think it is a safe diet. Eating three meals a day, with one or two exercise sessions will help you burn and lose weight healthy.
I was on a 1,000 kcal/day diet when I was in 3rd grade. It isn't much food for an adult though.
If you are in good health I doubt such a diet will harm you short term but chances are when you go off your diet you will simply gain back the weight you lost plus a few lbs.
You will be more successful if you make long term changes to your diet and exercise habits instead of attempting a quick fix.
If the B'days on any of your profiles are correct, especially Gabby726, you should not be giving advice on what is safe or good.
Filletofspam is right. Your metabolism will slow down, you''ll plateu and stop losing weight, then when you go off the diet, you'll gain it back with a worse body composition. I was a bit more specific in the Wu-Yi weight loss thread you posted in martineau08. There's a reason they recommend 2000-2500 calorie diets on the back of all food packaging. Going way way below that number with trigger the bodies starvation response. The body is more complicated then you think. Ask a doctor about how much you should intake for weight loss, where he would consider your size and stature. Dont listen to a 16 year old girl.
Gabby726, a 16 year old giving advice about dieting is pretty dangerous.
To all of those that have commented so far...Thanks for all the advice...The only note I wanted to add to my question is that I am only eating 1000 calories a day but once you actually think of what I can eat I dont know id I really am starving myself.. I eat three real meals a day and sometimes even snacks. I do the math so that when I est a full corse meal I just eat a smaller serving of everything I normally eat.. And the weird thing is that I am not hungry as much as I use to be and If I do get to the point where by stomach is just growling away I do eat just enought to get me by to the next meal..does that make my question sound better and Not make it sound like I am starving myself..
