Running cramps -ouch!

How do you get rid of the horribllleee cramps you get when you run the mile, I get mine like the first half of the first lap!!! I think its interfeiring with the possiblities of getting onto sports temammss!! Help please-also is this normal?

I always get cramps but they're usually if I've eaten prior to running. Try waiting a half hour after you eat then start running and see if the cramps come back. Also have you tried stretching before your run? You could be putting your muscles under a lot of stress and if you're getting these horrible cramps in your legs it could be due to overstretched muscle fibers in your legs...if you're not careful these fibers could even break and thats when you have leg pain for days afterwards.

ohh I forgot to mention that, I get the crampsd im my stimachh like right beneath my rib cage

pain relievers,medicine and basicly keep your stomach warm...I never get running cramps,I always get perioud cramps like crazy and they hurt like *** ! lol well good luck...

Breathe with your nose not your mouth. This was a problem for me and I discovered I was not breathing properly. Take deeper breaths.
