Rules to being straight-edge

If your straightedge, are you still allowed to smoke ciggarettes..?
I was thinking about changing my ways... Im going to be 16 in 3 months and I party like im 21.. I no..."very bad" honestly I think im sick of it... But I also smoke ciggs. Sooo I was thinking about turning straightedge but since smoking is consider a drug.. Are straightedge kids not allowed to smoke(cigarettes)?

Cause honestly I know how bad it is for me.. I love smoking my marlboros <3 keeps me happy

being straight edge is lifestyle and a commitment...and no no smoking, no drinking, no casual s*x (only if your in a commited relationship and some take it as far as only when your married), no drugs...and before you make a desicion you should if you don't know find out more history about it...it started in washington DC with the hardcore punk band minor threat when they wrote the song staright edge
