Rugrat search for reptar, problem with downloaded file

I downloaded a rugrats search for reptar mdf and mds file for my psx emulator and it works great...except all the cut cequences like for example the beginnig where the rugrats find out that the puzzle pieces are gone, doesn't happen...it just skips to...

the instructions like push triangle to do this and stuff, and in the level grampa's teeth I can't get out of the stupid playpen, I pressed all of the buttons and I'm stuck there, if anyone else has had this experiance with this game and has figured out how to get passed it will you please tell me and please tell me a site where I can get a working rom with the cut cequences in it
