How old do you have to be to rent a hotel room?

Im 15, turning 16 soon, and I was wondering if my friend whose 17 and ii, would be alloud to rent a room with out our parents being there?

yes definatly bc if your 16 or older your aloud to go get a room and whoever you want can join with.

depends mostly on their insurance...a lot of insurance companies don't deem someone responsible enough to rent a motel/hotel/inn room in their name unless they are 18+...kinda like buying a car, you are entering into a contract that if anything breaks or anything happens, the insurance can talk/deal with you without parent/guardian present.
