Room makeover

I am wanting to paint my living room with a red accent but Im not sure what color to paint the rest of the room. And my furniture is black

I would say a cream colour or a chocolate brown, my kitchen has one red wall and three cream ones with black counters and a black floor and it looks really striking, people always comment on it happy

I agree with runningwind my first choice would be cream...it will help the red and black stand out and all 3 colours work well together happy
