listen to the baisics of rock if you havent already, people such as:
black sabbath, led zeppelin, ac/dc, the kinks, the rolling stones.

if you're looking for modern day rock, go with:
the strokes, zebrahead, yellowcard, and theres this local band I see occasionally. theyre pretty good and you can find their album on itunes.

The best way I found to discover new bands is the pandora website. You can make your own 'radio' station by putting in the bands you like. It will play songs from those bands and similar ones. You can rate songs so over time it learns what you like and it won't replay songs you dislike.

rooney is such a good band. you have to hear their songs!

There is only one song that is in english because the band is Japenese or something but it is called 'Tokio Hotel' and the song 'Ready, Set, Go' is an awsome song!
