Will I get a new sidekick 3 after mine was robbed?

SO just today I was walking to a Valero gas station
with my new sidekick 3
I had it in my pocket and past buy some Mexican ghetto looking guy sitting
as I was walking back the guy ran in front of me and pulls my phone out of my pocket
along with $50
I walk up to him and DEMAND it back
he told me to back the f.uck off
and that he's not playing and will f.uck me up
I didnt step back and with caution I approached him
closer and asked him what he wanted for my phone
he said he wanted $150 for it and that he will brake it if I got near him
he then told me he has friends who
are coming and they will beat the s.hit out of me if I came back for my phone
with some one
he told me he knows where I live and will get me
he said he will wait for me to bring $100 and if he sees any cops or people near me he will break my phone and kick my as.s
I said okay
I wont call th cops
just dont break my phone and ll be right back
he went behind a dumpster
and I ran to a papa johns to call the cops
they came I told them everything that happend
there were 3 cop cars in a distance where the guy couldnt see them
and2 cops drove to the area I told them
I tried explaining to the cop that stayed asking for my info
that the 2 cops just drove past the area the guy was at
the cop said its okay they will find him IF HE WAS THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE
I got pissed and seriously wanted to run to the spot the guy was at
about 30 mins of non since the officer gave me a case number and drove me home
now what I want to know is will I get a new sidekick 3 after getting it robbed?

It's a shame that a Mexican person did this to you. I am a good, law abiding citizen and Mexican at that. I can only say yes you want to get mad at the whole race for it. I just want you to know there are some good Mexicans out there. I don't foresee you getting your phone back. I would just cancel it. Report it stolen. Hopefully they haven't charged a bunch of calls to it. The service provider would have to dismiss those on a dispute you may have to fill out. I am a victim of several thefts. I know it is easy to hate a race for doing these things but it isn't right. Maybe you didn't explain to the police the actual location to find this guy. If you see him again it would be okay to call the police on him again. I am so sorry you went through this nasty experience. Keep vigilant of the places you walk around. I have the sidekick 3...and someone stole mine.
they wouldn't replace it unless I had it insured.
