Road trip from vancouver bc to california?

im thinking about traveling on a road trip with a friend from vancouver bc to california...I havnt had my licence for very long and I never have drivin in a big city is this a dumb idea or is it worth it...has anyone ever done it?

my moms done it when she was young on a motorcycle.. but backwards. from los angeles to vancouver.. and she crashed. my advice to you would be hell no I wouldn't do it.. you're still a kid.. regardless if you have your license or not..have you ever even been to california? you should really visit the place you want to go with your parents like on a family vacation before even thinking about driving there on your own with your friend.. it's not that easy of a thing to do.. and it's dangerous.. just try visiting the areas you're planning on driving though with your parents so you know what you're going to be dealing with and your parents know how to help you and locate you in case of an emergency..
