just be patient...I remember when my step mom and dad were living together... and she would magnet pictures of rings to the fridge...send him a pic to his phone of a ring...be a pest...if he loves you he we def get the picture and not get mad ...I mean my ring was just a thing gold band and it was way to big so it has tape around it to this day...lol its the thought that counts but when the times right it will happen...
just because your materialistic friends have 9 dollar fake diamond rings from their magilla gorilla boyfriends who don't really care about them, doesn't mean it's written in the book of love laws for your boyfriend to get you one. be thankful for what you have and the priceless things he may have already given you- like his love.
maybe he'll give you one when it's his time and when he truly wants to from the bottom of his heart, unlike most.
hey, it's really not a big deal. I mean, I know it seems like it, and I thought so too. As a matter of fact, I still think so. Last spring he mentioned something about getting me a ring, asking me if I would wear a ring if he got it for me... of course I said yes (at the time we had been together over a year and a half)... but nothing ever came of it. we actually talked about it once, cause I got it in my mind that I really wanted a promise ring. he apparently had thought that I didn't, since I don't wear rings often at all. So I thought that that conversation would end up in him getting me a ring, only it didn't. I was kind of upset, but I realized that it wasn't such a big deal.
If he's not ready to give me a ring, or wants to wait until it's the right moment, then that's much better than him giving it to me just because I've asked him to.
So my advice is to not bug him about it. Mention it maybe once or twice, so that he knows you're receptive to the idea, but dont push it. It'll happen when he wants it to, and it will mean so much more to you, because you'll know he means it.

Why don't I have a ring yet?
Send me Fun Mail
