how bad does a tattoo on the ribs hurt?

How bad does a tattoo on the ribs hurt?? Like on a scale From 1-10. I already have other tattoos but I want one on my ribs.. Anyone who has one should fill me in.

My dad is a pretty badass dude, but when he got a tattoo on his ribs towards then end of the three hours it took, It got pretty painful. I'd say a 10 possibily, but I don't know he did it not me, but I watched.

all tattoos hurt,
my brothers got a tattoo on his ribs,
and it took like 3 hours,
he said its the most painful thing in the world,
and the tattooist said its the most painful part of your body to have a tattoo done,
when he went back to have it finishd off
he had the numb cream
and it still hurt him like loads.
and hes one of the henchest lads ever.

Hmmm from my point of view, it would be a 7-8, and at the sensitive sports it would be a 9.5. Don't psyche yourself out before it; that'll just make it more intimidating and actually hurt a little more. I'm having a big piece done on my side and I'll probably need one or two more sessions. I have half of the outline done(I'm getting a piece from Salvador Dali, you know the Elephants with the long spider/stilted legs?); and I already finished the more painful part thankfully. I just need its legs, and shading. I have another tattoo on my lower part of my back and that didn't hurt at all. I didn't need any breaks. But this one, I needed 4-6 breaks from a 2 hour session. All in all so far is it worth it? YES. It looks beautiful. I wanted to get my left torso done too, and its going to be much more detailed so I'll have to suck it up cus they are beautiful. Hope I didn't make you feel scared, tattoos are tattoos. Theres gonna be a little pain. But the results keep you coming back for more
