Thanks nero, but not the one I was looking for. Story about a little old lady who when faced with a problem, would wrap a towel around her head and put her finger along side her nose, and think. Jackets for her geese after she used their feathers for a bed, making a too tall christmas tree fit the room by cutting a hole in the roof... ect. I am 53, and I read it in grade school. It seemed to be an older book even then. No one here in Colo. has been able to help me so far. Thanks.
