Remedy for earache needed

In the middle of the night I woke up with intense pressure in my left ear. This is making it impossible to sleep, and I believe I have an earache and I need to stop the pane!! Anyone have a Remedy for a Earache?? This is the first time I have had one, so all information is welcome!

well when I was little same thing happened to me but you have to go to the doctor and than they will give you a docotors note than you go to the nearest pharmacy or somewhere where they sell medicine and then they give you the right kind which worked for me. so my advice is to see a docotor GOOD LUCK!

I get ear pressure when I'm congested. I sometimes take a decongestant before I go to bed.

My Grandma puts some kind of oil in my ear when it hurts.
