What is meant by rosary?

The rosary [prayer beads] and 'The Rosary' [series of prayers] both have more relevance to 'Roman Catholics' than they do with just Christians in general...

For any religion to survive rituals is a must & the rosary is one of them.People who say the rosary say it without any meaning. Sometimes I have to correct my wife instead of saying hail Mary she says holy Mary.

I'm not sure how the rossary works but, it sounds like that's a Catholic richual.

well im not sure about every one else.
but im Christian and I have rosary beads next to my bed.
I run my fingers along the beads when I pray.
they make me feel safe

I used to be Catholic so I know what this is. A Rosary is prayer beads. You can pray several prayers on the Rosary, the Hail Mary is one of the most common prayers. On every rosary there are sections of beads and you pray ON thos sections not TO those sections like it is commonly believed. Like people have said before the Rosary is not generally used for regular Christians but rather Roman Catholics, Catholics, and Evangelists.
