Can we be together with this age difference?

If my boyfriend is 13, and I am 18 years old and we are NOT engaging into ANY sexual acts, does the Law say it is okay for us to be together (seeing as though we aren't sexually active), or are we simply not allowed to be together by Law, because of the...

fact that I am an adult and he is considered a child??? Please help me...

I cant possibly understand what an 18 yr old woman would have in common with a 13 yr old child! Mentally, and physically, the maturity level of a boy at 13 is 0. If i was a parent, there is NO way my 13 yr old son would be dating an 18 yr old. He wouldnt be dating period!!! Sweetie, it doesnt matter if this situation is legal, or illegal, what matters is...you need to wait at least a few more years, to let him grow up! Let him be a kid. If its meant to be, you two will find each other when the time is right. Not just for you, but for both!

Is there a reason why you arent attracted or interested in dating guys your own age? I have no problem with the girl being older, but only when both parties are adults! You are messing around in dangerous territory. Especially these days! Your not engaging in any sexual acts yet, but there will come a time when you will. You really need to rethink this whole relationship, because this is NOT a healthy situation for either of you.

um...why is a 18 and 13 year old together? thats kinda weird...but any ways...well depends on where u live and crap.
i have a cousin, she just turned 12...she has a 18 year old boyfriend...we live in Texas.
well...im not really sure that there is a law about being together...but if u have sex and stuff then that is different.
i still think its weird to have a child dating a adult...if i could i would smack my cousin in the head after beating the crap out of her BF and her mother...cuz thats just weird. =/

they are both right (above me)...the contact will come sooner or later.. so leave him a lone and go find someone in your age group or older.. it's not the end of the world or there's no problem in the world to the point there's no more 18+ guys..you act like they are all taken lol and no one is there for you!

The law refers to sexual activity, not just dating. So you two can date all you want as long as you are not sexually active. If you were to become sexually active any time soon, it would be a felony.

That being said, I cannot imagine what an 18 year old could possibly have in common with a 13 year old. When I was 13, I was in middle school. When I was 18, I was in college. There should be a pretty big maturity difference between those two ages.
