If your unhappy in your marriage and its been that way for a while should you leave or keep trying??

I'd say keep trying. If you were in love once, it can come back...Honestly, I'm sick of hearing about divorces.
I've made an oath to myself that I will never get a divorce.

I don't know you as a couple or what you're going through, but I'm sure that some stuff can be fixed within the two of you to make it work.

we have been sleeping in seperate rooms for 5 months and havent had sex since feb. this year. I care about him we have been together for 6yrs and have a three year old.I want to be single but I dont want to lose him just yet.thats why I ask if we should stay together or seperate for a while???

This depends on the whole situation. If you don not let anybody down, then you are free to leave. But e.g. is you have kid then you have to consider the kid's interest too. Also, it is not nice to let e.g. an ill husband/wife down.
