Reddish purple hair

I have medium brown hair naturally and blond highlights. I wanted to darken my haircolor all over and put copper highlights. Now my hair is reddish purple all over. Where it was blondish it is now pinkish red. How do I fix it without a trip to the salon. It was a permanent hair color kit.

get you a hair kit with meduim brown/die it.wait 24 hour/highligh it with the color you want.u can try this to:dye your hair gold add-meduim brown as highlight.and it does come out really nice.

I suggest you dye your hair the desired colour and leave it on for a wee bit longer to be sure the colour sets then in a day or two then try to highlight.

my hair is dark brown and I dyed it auburn... ithink it will look cute with copper highlights. do it...

I dyed my hair red... and it turned red-purple yesterday. Today I dyed it dark brown and it turned dark purple. How can I get it back to my normal red color without stripping my hair.. or will I have to strip it?
