mate ya cant say that he will definately get signed.
he got to make more than one copies of his demo and send them out .
he must carefully sitdown and think bout who he would like to be signed with, do some resaerch on the record label/s, lookup who runs it whoelse is sidned to it, what they are looking for in a successful artist.
sometimes people send out hundreds of demos to hundreds of labels and dont get signed.
they will take the demo and just throw it in the trash most of the times, without it even getting listened to, inside his demo package he must have a biography on his self, in it, information about gigs he has done.
first he must have fans in his hometown to start with, thats what record companes look for as well. they want to know that atleast you got people from your hometown to help support you, to by your records. the men and women who review your demos and call you for an interview, music is not they first love, money is.
they are first business men and women and then they are music lover second.
fo if he have the potential to make good music they would want him because he can bring large sums of money in.
another thing he could put in his package is article about him from magazines or newspapers about him performing and probaly the crowd's reactions.
the first line in his demo raps must be the best, because thats the first impression.
if his demo raps begins with a line that is shitty, they will dump it in the garbage with out going on to the next song, because they have that much demos cds to go throught, since they get hundreds every week. the first lines are to be catchy, so that when the reviewers listen to those first lines they would want to hear more, so they would go through all the songs, then to the next cd or tape. tell him send in atleast two or three demos. send tape or cd, its recommended you send cd, because cassette tapes are lame and outdated.
good luck to him.
