Recession?

Are we in a recession?

yes we are in a recession we are very close to a depression we are very very close to a depression. Laugh at me if you want but two years ago I shared with a friend that we would be here at this point in our economy. When fuel drops to 1.00 a gallon we will be in a depression not to frighten any one just being realistic

I think we are, my dad(whose been around for way 2 long), said that this is practically how the great depression began but things can change if everyone pitches in

were in a recession but my economics teacher told us that technicaly were in a depression because we have had 2 years of the economy going down.

well I think the media has helped things along with makeing people worrie so much that they feel they have no hope.

Well, I'm living in the UK. At the moment, that's what it looks like. Everyone is being told not to go buying stuff in unless we really need it. Plus, it seems like gas and electric is still higher than what it has been before. Personally, I think the whole lot is bull***. I just can't see why we couldn't carry on with the way things were.
