Maybe, but I think it might be hard to reverse such a thing with just regular brushing...I know it sucks or may not even be possible because of money, but if you are fairly young you should try and see a dentist.
One things for sure tho is that starting to brush regularly will certainly slow down the process, plus gargling with mild salt water would help kill the bacteria that is basically eating the gums.

If you have receding gums from lack of teeth brushing or something but then brush your teeth like you should do they get better or stay receded?
