Reasons to go on birth control other than pregnancy?

I know about acne, what else?

I've herd that its helps with:
lossing weight,
acne,
PMS,
cramps,
shorter peirods.

am I right about that?

an ob/gyn would be the safest person to ask ... if you want to get an accurate result!

Don't expect all those things to happen, some things happen to some women depending on how their bodies handle the birth control and the brand. Just because one thing happens to one women, it could have a total other effect on another. I think one of the best things about it besides pregnancy prevention is that it regulates your periods in almost all cases.

I've been told that it gives you more regularity to your period as well. Either situates your "Cycle," or may even stretch it out, a friend of mine had to take birth control just so she could have a period, and it was only every three months.

Talk to a doctor though about symptoms and side effects.

I know some people who take them to regulate their periods. I had a friend who bled for 2 to 3 weeks really heavily and the birth control stopped it. Only to be used for that reason if medically necassary

if your talking about birth control pills then yes
theres also breast growth and some other things
of course, not everyone expeiriences the same results
but with everything comes risks and side affects
weight gain, and some more
also if you already have breast cancer, the pill will make it grow (which can be fatal)
so check your family history for breast cancer
