Really need help with by boyfriend / please read my story

ova tha summer I went out with a guy from my school..we always talked on the phone but we never visited each other...im not sure if he was being real but it seemed as though he really liked me..almost all his friends knew who I was and even his brother...

told me he really liked me he often complained and sed I didnt call him enough. At some point I started 2 become a little disinterested so sometimes I wouldnt call him and after a while he started doing tha same...until eventually we just stop talking..then when we get to school he acts like he's never seen me in his life...And when a friend of mine asked him on her own will, why we dont speak he said that we never went out and he was bored and a whole bunch of shyt about me ...
I brushed it off. I imediately wanted to approach him about but I played the bigger person..then when he says hi to my friend he comes over gives her hug and makes sure that his back is faced to me and all this stupid shyt...so not only was he talking shyt about me but he's trying to act like I'm nothing. If we never went out and u were bored and u didnt care about why would you walk around trying so hard to get to me? My thing is I want to know why he's acting like this? I DEFINETELY dont want him baq but I just don't feel that all his bullshit is necessary. If we broke lets leave it as that, even if you don't want to talk to me, you don't have to try and diss me to my friends.
Why do you guYs think he's acting supid like this? Is he mad at me or something or still wants me and feels bad that it eneded and he got caught up so he's trying to play me? or he's a jackass and really just didnt giv a damn about me?
