Light skin-tone is fine - if you do want a little darker, from what I've read, spray-on tan is the only way to safely tan - machines emit UV rays...Take care !!

I love my porcelin complexion.

I think lighter skin is very attractive. It's different than the mainstream.
I always protect my skin and wear sunblock every day. Skin cancer also runs in my family, so I always stay away from tanning.

My mom got obsessed with tanning bed using... now she looks like an alligator.

I personally think it's really important to take care of your skin and so I always wear an SPF on my face as the sun can do long-term damage and increase the appearences of wrinkles and aging spots. I also think lighter skin on the face of a girl is much prettier but then on the rest of my body I like to have a tan so I use fake tan. Apperently Dove Summer Glow is the best but I've been using Johnsons holiday skin and it works quite well you just have to be careful to really rub it in. Hope this helped x

I think everyone should get a little sun. The sun is the best source of vitamin D and they say that 15-30 minutes of sun exposure to your arms and face is sufficient.

Sitting and baking under the sun to get a deep tan is definitely asking for trouble. I remember when people would sit out all day in the Summer to cultivate a deep rich tan; of course it did look good but sitting out that much can cause skin cancer later on. Women who do that have skin like leather by the time they are 40.

I like to get enough tan so I can go out for an hour without worrying about sunblock. That way I have a little tan and don't have to worry about sunblock for mowing the grass or working on my pool; I just put it on when I'm going to be out for over an hour. The exception is my head, I'm bald on top and I've ready had a few pre-cancerous growths removed so I put on a sun block moisturizer every morning and I try to wear a hat outside as much as possible.

ya, white skin's fine, but if it's too white, you get sun burn in 1-2 hours!
thats happening to me!! when I'm just walkin' home with mom, I get sun burn!!
and it burns like hell!! ! you could get canser from it!!
now mom forces me to put cream everywhere I go!! ugh!!!
hope what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone!!
white skin is nice, but not on everyone, and it's sometimes a problem (like me)!!!

I think every skin tone is beautiful. its even more beautiful if you have clear healthy skin, and I think that is much more important than the colour of your skin.
