Really gross red-sticky goo on my joint, man.

I just learned how to roll joints and I've been rolling them a lottt ever since I learned.

However, sometimes there's this substance on the beginning of it (where you put your mouth). It's happened a few times now, and I have no idea what it's from. ...

The weed is (was) from a respectable guy, the papers were clean (EZ-Wider if it makes any kind of difference) and I used a lighter over matches (I know it probably doesn't matter).

It's red (confused for blood) and sticky. It's there when someone shares, or if I'm the only one having it. It's not from saliva (I don't think) because my lips don't actually touch it because I roll them back when I take a hit which is kind of confusing to say.

Any ideas? -_-

I've never heard of this happening before. Have you tried using different papers? Even though I don't think it would make a difference. I'd say theres definately something in the weed.

Yeah...I bleed everytime I smoke a joint. I must be allergic to the paper.

I won't...because I'm a pretty firm believer that weed doesn't change people. Dumb people who smoke will still be dumb before/during/after smoking, as will smart people. I've been smoking for a couple years now and I've maintained a great GPA, I have friends, I get 8 hours of sleep a night and I'm a happy guy. I don't mess around with any hardcore drug...I could keep going on. Thank you for the food-for-thought, though.

Its resin its from the weed being burned after its burned it turns into resin. and Yes I know this for fact cause I have been smoking for 7 1/2 years . If you smoke out of a pipe it turns black but from a joint or blunt it turns reddish brown. no its not your blood its called resin I hope this helped well I think it did I answered your question

its the 'resin' or tar that becomes liquid-ish from the heat of the joint, and the moisture from your mouth. You're not bleeding. That's just stupid.

If you use responsibly, there is no socially noticeable difference between weed and alcohol, besides the ignorant laws prohibiting it. (That's just stupid too).
