Real with me or no?

When I was younger about 13 years old I had developed an infection in my stomach that landed me in the hospital for 3 months ..while my stomach healed from the damages of a untreated infection I ended up losing my hair from meds and my weight from getting my "food" from an I.v I came out bald and 80 pounds..I was in middles school at the time so of course kids are scared or weirded out by what they dont understand (and all this was on the news mind you because I nearly died) so I come back to school and my friends were acting and my one best friend dawn, turned her back on me and followed the crowd but when we reached high school our friendship rekindled and my other friend tiara always brings up that past time with dawn saying she isnt my real friend..I dont know if thats the case or should I trust and beleive that my friend dawn was a little girl then doin immature things and shes down for me now

I don't know - its really hard to say because people do change.
But I personally think that no real friend would back off like that especially when you obviously needed care at the most. You were obviously going through a rough time and you needed friends and they just walk away like your nobody. I don't think I'd ever be able to forgive someone like that, there are some any other more caring people out in this world, you don't need to bother with the others. But at the same time you were all kids and most kids don't understand what to do in situations like that because they aren't mature enough. Its totally your choice really - do what your heart tells you to.

if she does little things that make you suspicous than you know she might not be a real friend. like if she ditches you when you have plans or if she's not there 4 you when you need her she might not be a real friend. but you have to realize that that was a long time ago; and its totally possable 4 her to change... if you still feel weird about the whole thng you just need to b real with her and tell her.. just tlk to her about how you feel
