Simple Plan

Everyone loves music right? Well if they don’t, they should. Music is a great way to express what you feel and...

also can be very inspirational and knowledgeable. Here is a wonderful band that both reaches out to teens and lets them know that they are never alone in the world. It is the band “Simple Plan”.

The band “Simple Plan” came to be in the year 1999, in Montreal/Quebec Province, Canada. Members of the band include: Pierre Bouvier (Lead singer), Jeff Stinco (lead guitarist), Sebastien Lefebvre (Guitarist and back up vocals), David Desrosiers (Bass player and back up vocals), and Chuck Comeau (drums player). Two of the members of the band Simple Plan where friends back in high school (Bouvier and Comeau). They later met up with Desrosiers, Stinco, and Lefebvre and started there band.

Simple Plan has created music that has touched allot of hearts. There music is very relatable as well as inspirational. Allot of teens find it very easy to relate to what they write and sing. For example, Simple Plan wrote a song called “Perfect” in the year 2002. It talks about teens and there parents. Some of the Lyrics are, “I try not to think about the pain I feel inside. Did you know you used to be my hero? All the days you spent with me now seem so far away and it feels like you don’t care anymore”. Some teens feel that they are being pushed away by there parents and like there parents don’t care about them or what they do anymore. And this song is talking about that.

Another relatable song is, “Welcome to My Life”, which talks about just wanting to brake down. It is explaining a life where no one cares, and no one understands. This song is one that most relates to teens and everyone else because everyone feels like this at times. This song was released in the year 2004 and some of the lyrics are, “Do you ever feel like breaking down? Do you ever feel out of place? Like somehow you just don’t belong and no one understands you. Do you ever wanna run away? Do you lock yourself in your room? With the radio on turned up so loud that on one hears you screaming. No you don’t know what it’s like when nothing feels alright. You don’t know what its like to be like me. To be hurt, to feel lost, to be left out in the dark, to be kicked when you’re down, to feel like you’ve been pushed around, to be on the edge of breaking down and no ones there to save you. No you don’t know what its like. Welcome to my life.

A couple of other great songs are “Save You” and “Untitled”. The song “Save You” was released in 2008 and talks about, basically, how they will always be there when a friend is needed. Teens can listen to this song and know that there is always someone out there that does care. Some of the Lyrics to this song are, “…That if you fall, stumble down, I’ll pick you up off the ground. If you lose faith in you, I’ll give you strength to pull through. Tell me you won’t give up, cause I’ll be waiting if you fall. Oh you know I’ll be there for you.

The other song “Untitled” was written in 2005 and talks about drunk driving. The band had a friend that was killed in an accident because of a drunk driver and thought that this would be a good song to try to reach out to teens and tell them not to drink and drive. Some of the lyrics are, “How could this happen to me? I made my mistakes, I’ve got no where to run. The night goes on as I’m fading away. I’m sick of this life, I just wanna scream. How could this happen to me?”

Some people say that there songs are “whiny” but they don’t know the story’s behind them. They don’t write there songs to complain to the world, but instead they write them because they want to reach out to teens, and make a mark for both now and the future. Simple Plan is a wonderful band with allot of respect for others, and they are also greatly respected.

You might just wanna make your intro sound a little better. just don't say things like if they don't then they should for some reason teachers take off points for that. And allot is spelled a lot.
Other than that, nice job.
