What to do after rape?

a couple of weeks ago I was raped ever since, I no I av bin acting strangly with my friends even teachers. I have bin feeling really ill and people are beginning to think things. I am the kind of girl who will think things but wont say anything. What should I do ? please help ..x

I'm really sorry that something like that has happened to you. You really need to tell someone and talk to them about it, maybe a school counselor. You should also get tested for pregnancy and STD's just to make sure nothing is wrong. Did you report it after it happened? If not, you should because who knows how many other girls he has violated and how many he will if you don't tell someone. You just need to get up the courage and do these things, speak up for yourself! Good luck.

You really should have reported him to the police. He will continue doing it unless something is done about him. the biggest problem is that it's a terrible thing sooo many people dont report it. If you don't feel confortable telling police, talk to a friend, or better yet. Talk to a counselor. Then you need to go to the doctors. If you don't want to talk to your parents, talk with someone else in your family whom you are close with. Have them take you to the doctors. You should really get tested. Don't be embarassed, you need to take affirmative action.

when I was 14 I was raped by this guy who was 23 and I told my 16 year old boyfriend and he was mad so I decided to tell my sister but after he raped me he thought we were in a relationship my friend tried to tell him I was 14 and showed him my school I.D so that he would leave me alone he said he didnt care and that he loved me and he pulled a gun on me and asked why I didnt love him back I was so scrared untill someine he knew saw us and they calmed him down I was relived every time I saw him after that I would get sick and un comfortable but I wish I would have told my parents so I really think you shuold tell some one close to you that could really help and by this guy being a big tymer in my area he could do just about anything

Oh honey, this is a sad thing to be dealing with. First, is there anyone close to you that you can tell? Someone who can give you the advice that you trust and maybe someone who can stand by your side. I know from experience that you will go through a whole series of pain, anger, confusion, self doubt and sometimes we tend to personalize the situation. Like maybe is some twisted way we asked for this, but that is never the case. Be strong, know your rights and know you absolutely did not deserve to do this and get so angry with the person who did this to you and go straight to the police. Don't wait another minute. They will help you. No matter what fear the person put into your head, if any, ignore it and know that was his only defense. You did not deserve to be VIOLATED and touched against your will. I wish you so much strength and love through this time.

SORRY SOMETHING HAPPENED TO you BUT ANY WAYS you SOULD JUST GO TO THE DOC AND GET CHECKED OUT TO SEE IF you ARE PREGNANT AND SEE FOR DISESES.

I was raped. the first thing you need to do is to go and tell someone. its the hardest thing to do. I havent told anyone but I have to.

You should get checked out incase you have caught an STI or something and tell someone or go and report them.

well I think you should tell a close friend because onece I was raped by a 22 year old and I was only 15 and it was wiered because he started to follow me and always tell me that he was in love with me I didnt want to tell any one untill he pulled a gun on me after I explained to him that we were not in a relationship and that he hurt me he started telling me that I belonged to him and he had been wanting me but my bestfriend that I told told her mom and she saw him draging me and hiting thats when she called the police and my mom pressed charges on him for rape ,assult,and attemptimg to shoot me with a deadly weapon so I think you should really tell a friend beacase tou never know how the person who did it fels about you he may be stuck on you and think that he can do what ever but you should never be a prisoner in your own body im glad you told me cause now I feel better that I could tell you about my situation be good an you can ask me anything oh please go get tested for std or for pregnacy
