Why is it mainly black people that like rap music?

I listen to rap more than any other because of the beat
and plus black people arent the only people that rap theres whites mexicans punjabis everyone raps..

thats not true. now a days there are a lot of other ethnically religious and different types of people who listen to rap. Its not the color or the person but what beat they like most and how they like to spend there time. I think that is very stereo typical.

im white and I love rap music ..
and a majority of people who live around me love rap .
its not an ethnicity thing , its what kind of beat and lyrics you like .
