No. The only way you will get rabies is if your pet has it and then the pet passes it on to you via a bite or other exchange of fluid. A proper diagnosis from a vet is the best course of action for you and your dog. I have two and they get their rabies shots because it's very important. It does cost a bit but the dog will be much better off and you'll have peace of mind too.
No...but get a rabies shot for her...they are the cheapest vaccination you can get, and you only have to do it every 3 years...
It's just as much to protect them should they bite a stranger, as for keeping them safe from skunks, bats, and other rabies prone animals...You'd hate to lose your dog, just because of an $8 shot.
