I dont know how or when but some how I have obtained a kama sutra book. Me and my girlfriend as I have said before are both 17 and both virgins. I want to know if this is a good book for me to go by. (I dont know how else to put it) or if it is a bunch...

You may tell her that you have the book, even show her it. It is not a bunch of crap, but certainly not for virgin teenagers, I mean not for practice it. As a reading book it s not so bad. At your age love and sex is much more romantic and tender, then in that book. The book was written for older Arab men who have at least 3 wifes.
