Is captain keyes alive in halo 3?

This may be a spoiler, but I wouldn't know, given that I have not played the game; nor do I have 360 (which is sad, lol).

But my question pertains to Captain Keyes. I was reading on Wikipedia about the plot and everything (but how respectable is wikipedia, right?). Apparently he's still alive... did he not get turned into one of the Flood in the first game? And further more, did the Master Chief not put his fist through his face to rip out a chip of some sort??? lol Somebody want to explain this impossiblity?

His daughter is a captain, in Halo 2

I mean a COMMANDER, she probably got promoted to Captain for Halo 3, or your Wikipedia source has a typo.

Most franchise rental places should rent them (Blockbuster, GameRush, Hollywood, etc.) Although I believe you DO have to make a security deposit for the console (in case you steal OR break it).
