Did my brother assault me?

I'm currently 17 years old. Four years ago, my 11-year-old brother (who is now 15) touched me in an inappropriate place several different times. He was teasing me when he did this, and he succeeded by making me upset. He thought it was funny, but I did not. He dosen't do it anymore. But when he touched me, did he sexually assault me? even if he was just trying to make me mad?. No cruel answers please.

Yeah, little boys would do anything to make their sisters upset. If he remembers about that incident - which I doubt - he'd probably feel a little awkward himself and pretend that he never did anything.

He was definately out of line and wrong - he should have apologized - it's been 4 years, no problems now, so I'd let it stay in the past and move on....I wish you the best !!

I think that you answered your own question. He found a way to get a reaction from his older and (to him) more powerful sibling. I don't think that was sexual, it was simply a young kid finding a way to feel in control of something, even if it was just his big sister. If he hasn't focused on someone else, then I would not worry.

I believe he DID sexually assault you. It dosen't matter what the motive was. He still touched you in a place that made you feel uncomfortable. Okay,, if he wanted to make you upset, then how would he have known to touch you in those exact spots?? he knew those places were innappropriate and he knew better. You have obviously been violated because it is four years later and you're still thinking about it. Don't be scared. Tell your parents. Tell a school counselor..anyone. Seek family counseling or something. Good luck!!
