it's like OWNED.
it doesnt stand for anything.

It means someone kicked @$$ at a game. For example, I PWNED you at checkers. That means : I kicked your @$$.
The word comes from when two gamers were IMing each other. One of them was excited, and trying to type I owned you, but instead they typed I Pwned you. It has been used by gamers scince.

naah it originates from a creator of warcraft. he spelled owned wrong so every time somebody was beaten it came up with pwned.
