75 quadrillion dollars?!

The total value of every scrap of currency AND stocks on the entire planet is only $150 trillion, and even grossly exaggerating the worth of in-place infrastructure and untapped natural resources, you'd still never get higher than $1 quadrillion.

The moon is a useless chunk of dirt with zero commercial potential other than tourism. It would make no sense to value it at 75 times the worth of our own planet.

Teach YOU to toss around numbers off the top of your head. High five.

First off, you have to understand how mush of an illusion land ownership is. If the police aren't around some one can just come and take your land. unless you can defend it. so it's the same with the moon or mars or anything else. it you can defend it, you own it. so you just have to get their. and never mind the U.N. it's not as though they can actually enforce the treaty if they themselves can't get there. anyway, yes this was a overly-serious post given the topic but I actually have put thought into this subject before I read this post even. it's sad but it's mehappy
