Well I just meant that the picture of the puppy's hot spot didnt look like the pictures of hot spots that I saw while researching the hot spots.
I can't imagine why your are going to purchase a pit puppy in another town.
petfinder has MANY pit puppies available in your area...
http://www.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?pet.Animal=Dogpet.Breed=pitpet.Age=babypet.Size=pet.Sex=location=76901
these are puppies that NEED a home. You should NEVER purchase a dog...you should adopt. Less money, you will know what you are getting AND you save the life of a dog in the process...
I have never EVER heard of a dog getting a hot spot on their back...(to be honest, I've never heard of a pup getting one)...Hot spots are caused by an irritation pain, and the dog licking the spot until hair is gone, and the dog is literally licking into the skin layers.
So...I don't beleive this pup has a hot spot...my guess is that something happened to it...Before I handed over all the cash I'd want a Health Check from a Vet...(which you need to do anyway, when you get a new pup)...
Something stinks here.

Thanks to all that answered! I did infact get the puppy and the spots were not hot spots the vet said they were probably caused by the previous owners bein unstanitary...so PHRANNIE you had it exactly right.
And to reply to UTOPIA, Looked in my area for a blue pitbull PUPPY. Didnt find any. Went to the animal shelter in my area...ALL the puppies were already adopted and the only pitbulls they had were over a year old. I WOULD NEVER get a pitbull that I didnt raise from a puppy because I would have no idea what it has been through and wouldnt risk it, being the breed it is. And I am all for adopting dogs...have one adopted one already. Just would never adopt a PITBULL ADULT.

Puppy advice
I am currently in the process of buying a pitbull puppy from a person in a different city. We are planning to go pick up the puppy tomorrow and this morning the person we are buying from informed me that the puppy came up with a hot spot on its back...
this morning. I asked them to send me a picture of the hot spot because I have never seen or heard of one of these before. But the picture looked nothing like the pictures I foun online. Im a bit skeptical on whether I should buy this puppy now. Is this something to worry about?
