Ah, this is a question that needs more info. You can't just give half of one, because depending on size and age, it could be harmful. Call your vet or even a couple vets. Get their advice. Go with that.

there is a dose you need to follow, I don't know the formula, I can tell you that my 4.6# chihuahua get 1.6mls of child liquid Benadryl. So you need to use caution,

The dosage is based on weight...and I'd think the age of this pup would also figure in...call your vet to get exact dosage information.
