No formula, you start giving them a good puppy food, I was using Science Diet canned puppy food, and at first I put a little replacement puppy formula on it so the pup's would be attracted to it. I have whelped chihuahua's, so as I was weaning them I was also letting the mother nurse them a little bit because I wanted to make sure they were getting enough, it sometimes is not as easy as a task as you would think. They would rather have mommy, but soon they get the hang of it. You could also use dry puppy food and put some water on it and let it get soft. Try to stick to a good feeding schudel and this should help. Do not let any of them go to a new home unless they are eating good on there own, I suggest waiting until they are atleast 8 weeks old, Good luck
