Ps 3 rockband/guitar hero guitar problem

I am trying to use a PS 3 Guitar Hero Guitar to play Rockband, but it keeps getting recognized as a microphone!! How can I fix this?

on ps3, you can't use guitar hero controllers for rock band, it only works on xbox for some reason...

you going to need a rockband guitar for rockband honey if your playing on a PS3.in all honesty I would recomend you selling the game you bought [[assuming you havent alreayd done this]] and getting the box set that comes with the game a guitar,a,mic and a drum set.it is pretty expensive [[I payed 375.00 + tax for mine]],but if you had done this before it would have saved you major legwork [[rockband for PS3 is like still hard to find here its so popular,dont know if its the same where your at but,oh well]].the only dual-compatibilty SONY games I know of are the singstar line for PS2/PS3,I've read several places on gamer websites and tested it myself.the mics for the PS3 version of singstar are backwards compatible with the PS2 singstar[s].rock band/guitar hero controller compatibilty is only available on the XBOX 360 for some odd reason. the magic of microsoft. XD

so yeah,answered youe question and gave you a little info on singstar. I am to assume that you can or think you can sing if your playing rockband,not much diffrence expect you just sing.
