You failed to mention WHAT? you want a protein diet to do? Gain Weight? Build Muscle?, etc.
Without more info, this is a difficult question to answer. My take on any diet reads as follows:
Most (fad) diets in general (as a whole) are destined to fail. The simple reason is. . .when you "finish" the diet, you end up going back to your old ways. That's probably what got you to the place you're currently at (and unhappy with) during the present time. In order for any diet to work (well), one has to RE-think the term diet. It's so much better (and easier) to make lifelong lifestyle changes in your DIET! By taking small steps every week or so (until you've grown accustomed to each new step) you can learn to make healthier food choices as time goes by and they end up becoming a better way of life! I recall years back when people had died by taking to much liquid protein, so I'd say "No, they don't work as expected or hoped for" Your friend, CBKitten
